Your information
Privacy Policy
What we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we will and will not do with it.
Last updated: October 7, 2026 (disclosure version 2026-10-09)
Scope of this policy
This policy explains how The H Law Group handles information collected through defectiveproductatty.com. It applies to this website only. It does not govern information you give us after we agree to represent you. That information is protected by the attorney-client privilege and by our professional duty of confidentiality, which are broader than this policy.
Information we collect
We collect the information you choose to give us. If you submit the case evaluation form, that is your name, phone number, email address, the type of injury or product involved, the date of the incident if you provide it, your description of what happened, and your answer to one question about whether you have seen advertising about product injuries in the last 30 days. If you call or email us, we receive whatever you tell us in that message.
We also keep a short record of how you first arrived at this site and the page you submitted the form from: the first page you visited, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), the date and time, and your general browser and operating system type (for example, Safari on iOS). We do not record your IP address in this record.
Our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps as part of operating and securing the site. We do not use that data to build a profile of you.
We do not ask for, and you should not send through this website, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or complete medical files.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to evaluate your potential claim, to respond to you, to check for conflicts of interest, and to keep records required of a law firm.
We use your advertising answer and the arrival record only for our own internal analysis of which information and outreach help people find us. We store them with your inquiry in our intake records. We do not use them to profile you or to show you advertising.
We do not send the names, phone numbers, email addresses or injury descriptions entered in our forms to our analytics or advertising tags. Those details go to our intake service so we can respond to your inquiry.
Limits on confidentiality before representation
No attorney-client relationship is formed by contacting us, by submitting a form on this site, or by using this website. An attorney-client relationship begins only when we and you sign a written representation agreement. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this site.
Because contacting us does not by itself make us your lawyers, information you send before we sign a representation agreement may not be protected as a privileged attorney-client communication. Send only what is needed for us to evaluate whether we can help. Email and web forms are never completely secure.
Notice at collection (California)
Categories we collect through this website: identifiers (name, phone number, email address); information you choose to describe about an injury, a product or medical treatment, which may be sensitive personal information; your answer to the advertising question where asked; and internet activity such as arrival records, campaign tags, page visits, phone-link clicks and successful form submissions.
Purposes: to evaluate and respond to your inquiry, to check for conflicts, to keep the records a law firm must keep, and for our own internal analysis of how people find us. We use sensitive personal information only to evaluate and respond to your inquiry, not to infer characteristics about you.
Configured analytics, advertising and call-tracking providers may receive technical information such as page visits, browser or device information and conversion events to measure our outreach. Your form answers are sent to our intake service rather than included in those events.
Retention: the arrival record stays in your browser for up to 180 days and is not overwritten during that time. Case evaluation submissions, with the attribution information attached to them, are kept as described under Retention and security.
Analytics and third-party tracking
Our configured integrations include Google Tag Manager (or direct Google Analytics 4), Microsoft Clarity, the Amazon advertising tag, the OpenAI advertising pixel and Nimbata dynamic call tracking. We use them to understand site visits, campaign performance, phone-link clicks and completed inquiries. Clarity provides session recordings and interaction maps to help us improve the website; intake form content is masked in those recordings. These providers may receive technical information under their own privacy policies. Google Tag Manager can manage additional tags according to the published container configuration.
Our own conversion events include a form identifier and page path, without your name, email, phone number or injury details. We do not send form contact details for enhanced advertising conversions. Browser Global Privacy Control prevents these scripts from loading.
Retention and security
We keep case evaluation submissions for as long as needed to respond to you and to satisfy our recordkeeping obligations as a law firm, then dispose of them securely.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website or transmission method is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and California privacy rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the records a law firm is required to keep. To make a request, email us at info@thehlawgroup.com or call (888) 499-4948. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To opt out of the analytics, advertising and call-tracking scripts loaded by this website, enable Global Privacy Control in your browser before visiting. You can also contact us about your privacy choices and California privacy rights.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a claim involves an injured minor, a parent or legal guardian should contact us on the child’s behalf.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The revision date below shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
