Free case evaluation

Tell us what happened

Send us the details and we will tell you whether there is a claim worth investigating. The evaluation is free, and there is no obligation to hire us afterward.

Start your free case evaluation

Tell us what happened. There is no cost to have your case reviewed. No fee unless we recover compensation for you. In some matters a client may still be responsible for case costs and expenses, and we will explain exactly how that works before you decide to hire us.

We use what you enter here to respond to your inquiry. We also note how you first reached this site (the page you arrived on, the referring site and any campaign tags) and your answer about advertising, so we can understand which information helps people find us. Read our Privacy Policy.

Where we work

Serving all of California

We take cases throughout California, with offices across the state. Consultations are handled by phone and video, so you do not need to travel while you are recovering. We will arrange to meet in person when a case calls for it.

Before you contact us

Preserve the product

In a defective product case the product is the evidence. If a manufacturer, retailer or insurer asks you to send it back for inspection, testing or a refund, talk to a lawyer first.

Helpful to have

What helps us evaluate your case

Do not wait until you have all of this. Missing items are normal, and part of our job is getting the records you cannot obtain yourself.

  • The product itself, if you still have it. Do not repair, discard or return it.
  • Photographs of the product, the damage and your injuries.
  • Purchase records: receipts, order confirmations, warranty or registration paperwork.
  • Model and serial numbers, plus any recall notice you received.
  • Medical records, discharge instructions and bills from treatment so far.
  • Any police, fire, incident or insurance report that was created.

Fees and deadlines

What it costs, and how long you have

No fee unless we recover compensation for you. In some matters a client may still be responsible for case costs and expenses, and we will explain exactly how that works before you decide to hire us.

California generally gives you two years from the date of injury to file a personal injury or product liability lawsuit (Code of Civil Procedure § 335.1). Wrongful death claims generally run two years from the date of death. Claims involving a government entity can require an administrative claim within six months, and a minor’s claim is generally tolled until age 18. Exceptions apply in both directions, so never assume a deadline has passed. Ask us.
