San Diego County combines a large military and veteran population, a heavy cross-border flow of consumer goods, and year-round outdoor recreation. That mix produces a distinctive caseload: recreational equipment failures, e-bike and scooter battery fires, pool and spa incidents, and injuries from imported products that entered the country through the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa crossings.

Cross-border supply chains make defect cases harder and more important to investigate early. When a product was manufactured abroad, distributed through a domestic importer and sold by a national retailer, California law generally allows a claim against sellers in that chain, not only the manufacturer. Identifying every link takes purchase records, labeling, packaging and often the product itself, which is why we ask clients not to discard anything.

The office covers the whole county, including the coastal and inland North County communities where a case may be filed in a branch division rather than downtown.
